I’m Back Betches!

I’m Back Betches!

Hey! It’s me! I’m back at it again. I know that it’s been a while, but listen, I just had to live my life. Although I’ve let my blog die temporarily, it isn’t gone forever.

Year 3 in Poland

Can you believe that I just entered my third year living in Poland?

Life changes in your third year living in a different country. When you first arrive, everything is so new. Whenever you leave the house, you are going to experience something that you haven’t experienced before. Now, I know exactly what is going to happen when I leave the house. I can manage picking up a package at the post office. I can ride the trams with ease, and I even have the Polish app to do so. I know where to get the best ice cream near me. I go to the same nail salon, and I love the girls there! Literally, I’m getting the best manicures of my life here. I can successfully give directions to the Uber Eats driver so that they can find my hidden apartment building. I’ve adapted to life here. I no longer walk around with my phone at the ready. People in Poland don’t walk around with their phones out unless they are tourists. This means that I’m no longer snapping as many photos as I wander through the city. This is great for my life, but not so great when you’re a blogger. Walking past the gorgeous Wawel Castle is no longer as exciting as it once was. Life here is normal. I’m settled. Poland feels like home.

I'm Living the Teacher Life

Teachers don’t really have lives during back to school time. Now that we’ve settled into the school year, I feel that I can breathe again. I no longer have to live a life of school 24/7. I can become a real human again. The end of summer vacation is a strange one. As a teacher, you go from being a regular human to only being a teacher. I don’t know how teachers who have families and lives survive the back to school season. I also have a teacher blog that I am investing more of my time and energy into. If we’re being real here, and we always are, I am never going to be an influencer. This blog here is just for fun and just for me. I love having this space to live my life and share my experiences with all those who follow me.

Now What?

I’m not done traveling at all. In fact, this weekend, I’m headed on a road trip around Poland to see different castles. I am so excited about it! I can’t wait to share it with you. I hope to continue posting weekly, but I can’t make any promises. I have a lot of exciting things planned for this year, and I hope you’ll continue to follow along on the adventure. I’ll work on taking more selfies because I could not be more disappointed in the lack of cute selfies currently on my phone. I hope you’ll stick around for year three in Poland. I don’t know what’s coming after this year, that is what makes this expat life so exciting!
