We need the tonic of wilderness. We can never have enough of nature. -Henry David Thoreau
As we were flying into Venice I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. Sometimes traveling takes your breath away- like the pier in Sopot. Sometimes you see things that are more beautiful than words can ever describe. A bit cheesy, I know. But these are the moments that travelers live for. They happen anywhere. On the way to Venice, it happened while flying high above the ground.
These mountains were breathtaking, in a way I never realized. I could not stop staring out the window. We were flying over the Alps. One day I hope to have the opportunity to travel back to the Alps and stand in awe at their existence. For today, all I have are pictures. Pictures never do justice to true beauty for it is quite hard to capture the essence and beauty of the Alps in a photo. This is something that can only truly be experienced and understood first hand. Here are my best grasps at sharing this beauty and wonder with you. The world is a beautiful place, we need to work hard to keep it this way.
