Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat. -Laura Ingalls Wilder
There is a point in spring where it feels like the endless days of warm weather will never arrive. The days still seem to have the dreary taste of winter and the rain brings along a bit of gloom. This weekend the sun finally came out and as an eternal optimist, I believe it is here to stay! The city of Krakow is always gorgeous but it certainly comes alive and shines more beautiful than ever in the warm weather.
Wawel Castle looks gorgeous in the sunshine!
Tourists are out in droves. The calm, vacant streets of winter are no longer!
The Rynek looks gorgeous with all of the flower boxes out at the restaurants.
Please Note: If you take too many touristy photos while walking in the main square you will be approached by many MANY people trying to take you on a tour. I just couldn’t resist though because the day was so beautiful!
Look at the gorgeous blue sky!!
It should come as a surprise to no one that I ended up at one of my favorite spots for good food and delicious prosecco. If you would like to track my obsession with this place please see Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
Here’s to another gorgeous weekend in one of my favorite cities!
