Sopot Pier – Breathtaking Views

Sopot Pier – Breathtaking Views

Unless it’s exhilarating, breathtaking, and life changing – forget it! -Marinela Reka

While visiting Gdansk, several people recommended that I take a moment to visit the town of Sopot. There is a crooked building in Sopot that is a tourist hotspot! Let me tell you that it is not that great at all. Sometimes you must visit tourist attractions to say that you have been there. The crooked house is one of those things. It is neither exhilarating, breathtaking or life changing. When you see it, admire it for a moment and move on. Actually, if you are going to Sopot, I highly recommend skipping the crooked building and going straight to the pier. The pier is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking views I have ever seen. I could have spent all night there at the pier. I actually regret not going earlier in the day and spending all my time looking out at the Baltic Sea. Enjoy these views and if you are ever in northern Poland, plan to visit Sopot for a moment of tranquility and pure awe.

Ok. Been there. Done that. Let’s move on to real adventure and beauty!

The very important life lesson I learned while on this trip is the importance of always bringing a hair tie with you. It was so windy on the pier and my hair was OUT of CONTROL! Did I have a hair tie with me? No! This is a lesson I am learning the hard way, but don’t worry! Progress is being made!
