Friday Favorites

The first thing that I am super obsessed with this week is Emma Watson as Belle. Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite movies and Emma Watson is one of my favorite actors. I have been watching the previews and reading every article I can find on Beauty and the Beast. This week we get to hear Emma Watson sing and it could not be more wonderful. It is set to come out in March and I may or may not be counting down the days.

On New Year’s Eve I sent a text message to a friend wishing them a Happy New Year! To my surprise, all of a sudden there was a burst of confetti and I was in awe! I had no idea I could be sending confetti with my text messages. I tried to recreate it several times but could not do it. I ended up having to view a youtube video to learn how it works. Now I can send balloons, confetti, fireworks and more! I am overusing this a bit more than I already overuse my bitmoji; of course, I have no self control! If you have an iPhone you are going to want to check this out! And if you are someone I keep sending confetti to, sorry it is not stopping anytime soon!

Nick Viall is the new Bachelor! Something I cannot get enough of is the Bachelor franchise. Recently, I sat down and watched the entire series over from season one all the way to this last season of Bachelor in Paradise. Nick Viall is also from Waukesha, Wisconsin and so I am loving this season even more. I just had the opportunity to watch the first night and I am already sucked in. I actually was late to meet my friends for beers the other night because I just had to finish the episode. I read an interesting story this week from The Atlantic about how Nick is receiving the “redemption edit” on this season. I have to say I never really felt like he was totally a villian but it’s interesting to see people change their views on Nick.  I’ll just have to keep watching to see if Nick finds love this time around.

I’m sure you’ve already seen this story about first impressions but I absolutely love everything about it. The photos are adorable. It got me thinking about first impressions in general and think about the way I present myself. Am I sending the message I want to send when I am meeting people? I think so. Next time someone I know has a baby I guess I am going to have to follow this young man’s lead and dress to the nines to welcome them into the world.

Harry Potter is turning 20 years old this year! I thought back and that means that 20 years ago my mom started purchasing Harry Potter books for us and our family become completely enamored with the wizarding world. This means that for 20 years I have been actively waiting for my letter to Hogwarts and living in denial about being a muggle for the last 16 years. Maybe this will be the year Hogwarts realized they made a mistake… or maybe they will just let me in to teach Muggle Studies. I know I could do a fantastic job!
